Pipeline Test Phrase 1


To start things up, this is the basic model for the tentacle in Maya.


With the basic model, joints & skin are added onto it for rigging. About 50 joints were created to allow more flexible movement. More control are added at the tip because the thin area is suppose to be more active. The same as what a octopus tentacle will behave in real life.


Using the last video frame as a guide, the tentacle model is placed accordingly to the perspective of the curl.


Next, i modelled a sculpture of the actual curl. This will be bring into Houdini together with the tentacle model as a FBX file.
